Back again

I know, FB is the main place to communicate, but I'm an old fashioned guy, prefer old things and have no time for all day long chat. So I keep this blog to use to share what happen in my garage.  Otherways not so much happend in the last 3 years, except a 1964 sunroof Bug, what was offered by a collegue for very friendly price in unfinsihed state. Taken the badly restored empty body to home and finally choosen the way to forward, didn't start again. We (I and the friends around) built it last fall and winter and finally everybody liked it. Me too and it was ideal for my daughter for her first car, but later I decided to sell as Petra is too young (12) for driving yet

Split bug project. Some steps ahead.

Elkészültek a hátsó panelek, méghozzá saláta 50-s évekbeli ADAC Motorenwelt újságokból.
The rear panels are done, made from sad condition, 50's ADAC Motorenwelt mags.

RESTORED AND CRASHED CHASSIS

Érdekes története van ennek az alváznak, amit a neten hirdettek vagy két évig. Történt ugyanis, hogy valaki belefogott egy Bogár felújításába, de csak az alvázig jutott, majd megakadt a projekt. Később elbizniszelte valakivel, aki történetesen egy fémhulladék telep tulajdonosa. A Főnök egyik emberét küldte el az autóért, de elfelejtett szólni, hogy az új szerzemény nem az olvasztóba megy... A többit el tudjátok képzelni... Közelről tényleg meggyőző az alváz állapota, ugyanis minden, de tényleg minden új rajta! Kimentett alkatrészeivel nagyot lépett előre a bontószökevény Karmannom! Csak a tepsik nagy része, az alvázgerinc és a hosszú fékcső ment a szemétbe.
This chassis has an interesting story (advertised on internet for 2 years). Once upon a time, somebody started the restoration procedure of a Bug, but the work stopped after the chassis recondition. He sold the Bug later. The buyer is the owner of a scrap metal yard. The Boss sent one of his trucker for the car but forgot to tell him the car is not for junk... You can imagine the rest of the story... 
From close the chassis looks very simphatic, as everything is new! I saved all the usable parts for my junkyard zombie Ghia. Only the bigger parts of the pans and the chassis center gone to trash with the long brakeline.
